Emergency and After Hours Care

In the event of a severe situation, or one in which you are in doubt, go immediately to the Emergency Room of the nearest hospital. At the hospital, tell the Emergency Room attendant you are a High Plains patient. If you need to talk to a provider after hours, please call 719-336-0261. Your call will be answered by our answering service who will forward your message to our "on-call" provider. Your call will be returned at their earliest opportunity. Please respect your providers' privacy by not calling them at their private residence.

Extended Hours
In an effort to better serve you and help you avoid costly ER visits, High Plains has extended office hours at three sites. Provider teams have an evening schedule open to provide care to patients with acute illnesses on a walk-in basis. Some appointments may be available for chronic care follow-up or wellness exam but must be scheduled in advance with your provider.
